Darts Score Handsfree is developed by Selwyn de Jonckheere ("we", "us", or "our"). The app is offline first: you can score games and keep your game data on your device without creating an account or using an online service. We only handle data outside your device when you choose to use an online feature, such as an account, cloud backup, online play, chat, or a voice/video call.
Information We Handle
When you choose to use online features, we may handle:
- Account information: your email address, sign-in details, chosen sign-in method, and account identifier.
- Profile and game data: player names, profile information, game statistics, and profile pictures you add in the app.
- Country code: a two-letter country code based on your device settings when you create an account profile.
- Online activity: lobby and game participation, player display information, chat messages, and call connection information.
- Voice and video: microphone audio and camera video when you start a call, shared with the call participants.
How We Use Information
We use this information to:
- provide and manage accounts;
- save and restore game data and profile pictures when you use cloud backup;
- enable online games, chat, and voice/video calls;
- show other players the information needed to identify game participants; and
- maintain, secure, and improve the app and its online features.
Online Services and Sharing
We use trusted service providers to operate sign-in, cloud backup, online play, chat, and voice/video calls. If you use a third-party sign-in option, that provider processes your sign-in under its own privacy terms.
Information needed for online play is visible to participants in the relevant lobby, game, chat, or call. Chat messages and player display information are visible to people in that online area. Please do not share personal or sensitive information in public chat.
Data Storage
Game data is stored on your device by default. If you create an account and choose cloud backup, your game statistics and profile pictures may be stored online so they can be restored to your account. Online lobby entries are designed to be removed when the app disconnects or the lobby closes.
We keep information only as long as needed to provide the relevant feature, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.
Your Choices
- Use local scoring without creating an account.
- Choose whether to create an account, use third-party sign-in, or use online features.
- Manage local player data in the app.
- Delete your account in the app where this option is available. This removes associated cloud backup data and closes your account, subject to legal obligations.
- Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. We may need to verify your identity.
Children's Privacy
The app is not intended for children where parental consent is required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information without required consent, please contact us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the app or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date.
